John Paxton

John Paxton is the Chief Executive Officer of MHI. Prior to his current role, Mr. Paxton served as MHI’s COO/CEO Designate. He has over 30 years of experience in material handling and logistics including over 20 years of executive leadership at Demag Cranes and Components.

Mr. Paxton also served as a volunteer leader at MHI including as President of the Crane Manufacturers Association (CMAA), President of the Hoist Manufacturers Institute (HMI) and as the Chairman of the Board of MHI.

Mr. Paxton is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and of Kent State University with an MBA with a focus on international business.  In addition, he completed the University of Michigan Executive leadership program.
